I had a conversation with a friend today about how magical and wondrous everything is when you’re a kid. As you grow older, that amazement seems to fade. I no longer see a sword when I walk past a stick like my kids do. Thankfully, as I see my own children explore life and experience that magic, it seems to have brought some of it back for me.
In a session that is rich with imagination and wonder, Nadia Stone photographed these three boys in South France. For Nadia, this day was about capturing “the freedom of being kids, the warm light of the end of the afternoon, and kids vs nature.” She simply did what we love to see and let the kids be kids, left to wonder, imagine, and create. And what better place is there to explore than a forest, some dunes, and the ocean?
Nadia photographed this session on her Nikon d4 and Sigma 35mm Art lens. She tends to gravitate towards black and white photography but couldn’t resist the amazing colors this time.
