I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Rounding out mini-session week is this cute session by Jen Downer of She Saw Things Photography. I love the expressions and relaxed atmosphere, which can be a little more difficult to achieve when dealing with a really short time span.

I took my little family of 4 on photo tour this summer. Knowing I didn’t want to spend my entire family “vacation” working, but having a number of families who wanted photo sessions I decided to arrange 3 Mini Session Events in addition to a few full sessions along the way. The mini sessions in each of the 3 cities were 15 minutes long, for 2 hours – so I was able to photograph 8 families per event (though a few families booked 2 consecutive mini’s for a longer time with me). I got fantastic stuff in each session, though I did learn that 15 minutes isn’t enough time for ME! I want more time with these lovely families I photograph to soak them in!!!
This is one of my favorite sessions from the events. It was done at the Oakland Museum of California this past August. I love that they were so ready and willing to play with me, and we got lots of personality filled images in such a short span of time!
Thanks so much for the feature! I love this session so very much. I had so much fun with these 4, and was delighted that they were comfortable enough with me in our short 15 minutes together that I was able to really capture some spunk and soul in their photos.
these are so beautifully done. i am amazed this was fifteen minutes. polished and real at the same time
You captured them so wonderfully! Your work inspires me!
