Talk about a fabulous first!! Alisa Greig
captured this AMAZING 1st birthday party and we are so excited she decided to share it with us!! The bright colors of summer for a party in where else but Hawaii. Sounds like my kind of party, where was my invite?!! 🙂
We loved the way Alisa captured all the details!! Here’s a little about the party and her tools.
Alisa said, “This is a 1st birthday of some good friends of mine I met through my photography. Mom is an amazing cake artist, baking the yummiest cakes for several years now in Hawaii for an assortment of events, Tiers of Joy Hawaii
. She’s also head chef for her sister’s event catering, coordination and design company D’lish Catering & Event’s Hawaii
. I’ve had the privilege of working with them both, they’ve supported me and my business for the last 6 years and have been truly encouraging, keeping me going at times I didn’t want to. I am grateful for them and happy to call them friends! I shot these on my Mamiya 645af, Canon 1v and Elan7ne. Films used were Fuji 400H, Kodak Portra 400 and a little Lucky 200.”
Hmmm my kids birthdays are in February, it’s not too early to start planing right?!!
Do you want to learn to shoot film like this? Ill tell you a secret. Alisa owns the Film is Not Dead Guide — a digital photographer’s guide to shoot film.
