sent us this super relaxed, super fun family session and I thought it would be just the thing to put a smile on all our faces after such a heavy weekend. I don't know about you, but every year – reliving history – is heavy on my heart. That feeling I felt of 'what next?!' still lingers even after 10 years. Next is our future and these smiley, loving faces are IT!! Really puts into perspective the importance of having your family documented!! I hope all those who lost loved ones at least have pictures of them!!!
Christin said, “The Kouba family, from the Pacific Palisades, is every photographers dream. Laid back, relaxed and they just want to have fun! The mother, France, called me and said she wanted to capture her family on a regular Saturday afternoon at their home. They were getting ready for a big move and she wanted to remember this day, one summer, when the kids were just being kids. No fake smiles, just lots of honest giggles and A LOT of running around! My vision was to portray the children just as they are – from running to jumping, to swimming and biking- these kids love it all! I love the image of the son, Wyatt, eating the peach. He was so messy after, but it didn't matter. It was real, and the peach juice all over his clothes told a great story! My tip for anyone trying to photograph children is to not get caught up in using props and “setting” the scene. Let the kids do that- after all, their imaginations far surpass ours any day!”
