Jen Huang + Fershop: workshop week

And we continue on with workshop week.  Here are two workshops I haven’t attended but so wish I could fit it into the schedule/budget.  I have heard amazing things about both and both these photographers made our Best of 2011 list so you know I like their styles.  Of course they are night and day.

JEN HUANG

Jen Huang puts on an amazing workshop.  She has one in Santa Monica and one in Australia for 2012.  I think I must know half of the attendees for the California one.  Wish I was going but that IS my youngest 4th birthday (april 18th) and there is NO missing that day.

April 17-19: 3 Day Workshop in Santa Monica, CA

Australia Workshop Fee: $2,500.00
Three Day Workshop Fee: $2,000.00

INCLUDES:

LECTURES & STYLED PHOTO SHOOTS
LUNCHES
WORKSHOP KIT WITH FINE ART WEDDINGS BOOK,
NOTEBOOK, COUPONS & GOODIES
POST WORKSHOP GROUP FORUMS

What is unique about Jen’s workshop (besides her style and know how) is that she shoots and teaches both digital and film.  And gets them to flow together seamlessly.  That is some expertise.  Anyway, rave reviews for Jen.

FERSHOP

Next up today is Fer Juaristi’s Fershop.  My only review for this one is well its totally sold out for 2012.  Something GREAT must be going on there.  Seriously, take a minute to review his work and you will see why.  Very creative and very unique.  I love his wedding and now his family work on Clicks by Fer.  He does say that he may put a San Francisco workshop on in 2012 so if you are interested, let him know.  Make it happen.

Here are the details (using his December 2011 workshop as an example):

2 sessions with the same couple, one engagement session + bride and groom.

Keynote about inspiration and style, your approach on weddings & getting the right client.

All my post production stuff.

Fun, Networking with other photographers

Limited to 12 spots.

10 AM – 8 PM

Investment: 375 USD

SOLD OUT

That is a deal! Right?

  • i attended a FerShop a couple of months ago and it was fantastic! he is so friendly and engaging! More importantly, he’s a person who loves what he does and relays that excitement and passion to his workshop attendees! He also has a fantastic sense of light and composition and encourages photographers to think outside the box when it comes to inspiration. A definite must if you can!
