Exploring the world you live in and seeing it with new eyes is a surefire way to feed creativity. We loved this submission from Bryce Covey, as he traveled the west coast with a road trip and some film cameras, making beautiful images along the way.
From Bryce: I live part time in LA and NYC, and this year when I moved down to LA I drove down the coast from where I grew up in Seattle. I brought all my film gear of course and I stopped along this beach off the highway at sunset to snap some photos of the gorgeous scenery that is California. It was nice to make portraits of nature as the main subject instead of the background or part of another story, but with the birds, beach, waves and sunset I was blown away. I’m making it a point next year to get out and shoot nature more often.

these are filled with such a large dose of needed peace, after a long day. i can just hear it, and feel that soft sun. beautiful images.
