The extremely talented Kristopher Orr shared a 2-part shoot he did for an Etsy designer and if she wasn’t sold out of all her beautiful pieces I’d take one of each!!

If you haven’t checked out Kristopher’s work you are MISSING OUT. We are obsessed with his simple, yet stunning approach to portraiture utilizing an array of different cameras. These were shot on a Contax 645 and a large format Graflex Speed Graphic 4×5. Fancy, huh? Here is a little bit about his approach and why he chooses film.

“I am obsessed with light. That is why I shoot film. I believe that film is the best possible medium for capturing all of the subtle nuances of light. It’s crazy if you stare at it long enough. (How light plays on a subject….not light in general…especially not the sun….don’t stare at it) But yeah. I want to keep the light interesting.”

Please do NOT go look at the sun but DO stare at the beautiful light below.

And in case you are interested in which films Kristopher used – on the Contax 645 – BW 400CN, Portra 400 and Fuji 400H and for the large format images both Kodak Tmax and FP-100C bleached negative.

Hope you enjoyed them as much as we did!!
