I LOVE this portrait session. Why? Because it shows this kid as he really is. And it was done with creativity and style. Way to go Jake Moreland aka Two Birds Photo. This is what Jake says about the session:
“Cory is probably the sweetest, coolest High Schooler we know — and that’s pretty awesome for us, because he’s also our next door neighbor! Cory always has a smile [and a fist-bump] waiting for us whenever we see him. He’s a lot of fun to be around, and our son loves to watch him skating in front of our house.
We were really excited to have the chance to photograph him before he goes off after High School. It was all shot on film with my f5 (50mm and the 24mm), Hasselblad (80 2.8), and the Holga.”
I wish I shot this. I so love it. I might have to hunt down some skateboarding kids just to try to copy it. But that double exposure at the ends just seals the deal for me. Amazing. Thanks Jake.

The B&W profile portrait is UNREAL. Lovely combination between a great vision and a great camera. His expression is great, the composition is beautiful, and the focus lets us appreciate the textures of his neck and cap so amazingly well. Love the contrast and tones too. Seriously, lovely work Jake.
