I love photos with a story and I LOVE this story. Kristy Carlson wrote in about her son:
“It’s been a big year for us. We moved to Burundi, east Africa and threw our oldest boy into a French speaking school (we all knew zero French)… and even though it was scary, in the end… the headmaster told the entire school in her end of year speech that our boy was “A champion of French.” I have never been more proud. To celebrate, we had an afternoon together in the public gardens. I wanted to capture him, at this moment. As he is… a tree-climbing-flip-flop-wearing-long-haired-never-has-a-shirt-on little boy. I love him, and he’s also the bravest person I know. ”
