Film At 11 – Carrie Geddie

I’m absolutely terrible at following through with projects and scheduled posts, so I couldn’t be more impressed (or in love) with Carrie Geddie‘s new monthly personal project. Make sure to follow along on her film adventures!

From Carrie: Winter in the Outer Banks of North Carolina is truly magical.  I love taking my boys to dig in the sand, walk to the fishing pier, look for sea shells, and just run around the empty beaches.  I recently started a personal project called Film at 11 to encourage me to shoot more film and break the digital habit.  The only rules are that I shoot film in the prior month and blog it on the 11th – subject, film stock, number of photos – it’s all flexible.  On the afternoon I shot these images, I brought only my 35mm camera and one roll of Kodak Ektar 100 with me to the beach.  And I could not be more in love with the results…  Processed beautifully by Indie Film Lab.

Oooh! I like the idea of this personal project! And especially because in the end, as photographers, we have to remember to capture our own family moments as well!

  • Thank you so much for the feature! It’s been a few months since I began this project and my love affair with it has only grown…. I don’t think we ever regret shooting film for personal reasons, especially when it’s the people and places we hold near and dear. 🙂
