family film photography by D’Arcy Benincosa

One of my favorite photographers, D’Arcy Benincosa, (and favorite people) sent us this fabulous family shoot from Australia.

D’Arcy shot Australian photographer Jodi McDonald‘s gorgeous family. And I have to say, I’m jealous. Jealous that D’Arcy went to Australia, that she shot this, that she got to meet Jodi (whom I love from facebook), and that it all happened on this beautiful beach.

D’Arcy always blows me away.

From D’Arcy:

Fingal Head in New South Wales Australia might have the most perfect light on earth. This shoot, of a brilliant photographer and her family, were taken in that golden hour before the summer sun sets. The color palette were warm pinks, yellows, and creams to contrast with the blue of the ocean and the green of the palm trees. Shot in just about 45 minutes on 5 rolls of film, it seems to me that the most lovely shoots are the simple ones.

What’s your favorite image?

I am in love with the single photos of the older girl against the blue.

You?
