Marci Mortensen recently attended the Film Is Not Dead Workshop in Maui. Not a bad place to go if I say so myself. She came up with some stunning images that make me wonder how I come I haven’t gotten these shots when I live here?
“Palm trees, sunshine in January, beautiful people, and cameras loaded with film. A recipe for magic. I recently attended Jonathan Canlas’ workshop Film Is Not Dead, in Maui. It was a beautiful journey of reconnecting with this medium that I love, and recalibrating what I want to shoot, how I want to shoot, and what I want the end result to be. And it was magical.
All images shot on a Hasselblad 501cm (square), or Canon EOS-3, on a variety of film: Ektar 100, Portra 400, Fuji 400H, Kodak Tri-x 400.”
